The owner of AEW has more finances than Vince McMahon, so how many?
First of all, Vince has been handing out massive paychecks like candy for a few years now, ever since he started landing deals with Saudi Arabia. Those events alone provide enough income to WWE to run their entire operations at a loss for the rest of the year. AEW has not had nearly as much to do with this as they (or the fans) might like to think. Second of all, just because the Khans have more money than Vince, they dont have a track record of success running a promotion for thirty some-odd years, and their primary goal is to make a profitable business, not to toss good money after bad. They certainly have had the chance to lock down some free agent talent over the past year or so but instead of making the WWE mistake and signing the 20-year-old talent of yesterday, theyre making the smart move and investing in the talent of today. With their recent announcement of a television deal on TNT, its almost certain that AEW will start to make a dent in WWEs revenues. But, as long as Vince can pull in revenue from his 10-year deal with Saudi Arabia and focus on the Indian market, the US can easily be an afterthought without significant damage to the company.
